The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the way we travel. It is imperative that we remain extra careful as we start travelling again with the easing of travel restrictions. Always comply with the safety regulations in place wherever you go.
We keep you safe so that you can travel worry-free and comfortably on our trains. Watch video
Know Before You Go
Passengers must comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) when travelling on public transport.
Please do not travel if you are not well. Wear a face mask properly at all times, practise good personal hygiene and keep a safe distance from others whenever possible. Please bring your own face mask.
Masks are still mandatory on public transport. From 1 May 2022, while it is optional when outdoors, we highly encourage you to wear your mask in crowded places including at the train station and platform. MySejahtera Check-in is no longer required to enter our stations from 1 May 2022.
Arriving Into The Country
Whether you are a foreign national permitted to enter the country or a Malaysian returning from overseas, please check the Malaysian government’s travel advisory and requirements prior to your arrival at KLIA/KLIA2. You may be subject to COVID-19 screening test upon arrival and/or a mandatory self-quarantine.
Changes To Our Train Schedule
A combined service train schedule is currently in place during this period. Be sure to check the train times before you travel.

Measures Taken to Ensure Your Safety When Travelling With Us
The safety and good health of our passengers and staff is our highest priority. As a responsible rail operator, we will continue to practise a strict regimen of cleaning in order to meet and exceed the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
Cleaning frequency of all high contact areas at the stations such as the self-service kiosks and barrier gates, have been tripled throughout the day. Hand sanitiser is made available at all ticket counters.
On the trains, high frequency touch points including handrails and train door buttons are also sanitised regularly during the operation hours. Every night, the trains undergo a deep cleaning routine at our depot which includes train seat steam cleaning.
Go Cashless
We encourage you to go contactless/cashless when buying your tickets and avoid paying by cash.
Use contactless cards or Touch ‘n Go directly at the gate, or pay with your preferred e-wallet at the counter.
Standard and promotion tickets can be bought online (website and app). Standard tickets can also be bought at the self-service kiosk.
What Others Say
We recently have the pleasure of hosting Miera, a travel blogger, on her trip back home. Riding the KLIA Ekspres is her preferred mode of transportation to the airport as it is also the fastest. Miera was impressed with the safety measures taken by us to ensure that everyone can #TravelSafe. You can read more about Miera’s experience here.
